Volunteer Settling in

Job Role:

To provide support to new resident’s when they first move to a SMT Retirement Village.

This will include orientation around the village, helping to identify which staff/residents who can be of further support, helping to deal with any correspondence e.g. utilities etc, identifying possible groups/activities they might like to connect with.

Flexible days and times (we ask for a commitment of 2 hours each week).

We don’t want finances to be a barrier to contribution. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel from your home to your volunteering location, will be reimbursed. This role is subject to enhanced DBS Check, which will be carried out by St Monica Trust.

We are committed to value equality and diversity in every aspect of St Monica Trust life. Volunteers will NOT be expected to Undertake any personal care tasks; have any involvement in medication; conduct manual handling tasks without prior training and authorisation.
