VP , P5, Prin Software Eng : Job Level - Vice President

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Senior Java developer in FIDCOM. You will be acting as the senior technology face off to our commodities leadership.
There are various trading critical technologies which the candidate will own, ranging from market making engines to our ability to hedge on the interbank market with algos and order management

What you'll do in the role:
- Lead the development of new ideas and/or policies in own area.
- Analyze multiple sets of information to create summaries for various stakeholders.
- Design and implement new client products as well as improving the performance of algos
Reduce operational risk and building control processes
Support the desk during tail risk events and operational issues as a L3 Subject matter expert

What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in executing IT strategy, delivery and complex initiatives.
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership.
- Advanced understanding of functional area and competent understanding of competitive environment.
-Java or Scala with desire to specialize in Scala
- Knowledge of C++
- Scripting language such as Python
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Interest in functional programming
-Desire to learn and use different technologies to overcome complex problems in financial modelling
-Good communication skills in English
- At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
