The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Waking Night Officer to join our 24-hour supported housing scheme in South East London. This is a vital role within our organisation, offering essential support to residents living with mental health needs during night hours.

You will work 4-night shifts per week (11 hours per shift, with a one-hour unpaid break), helping ensure a secure, clean and calm environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents throughout the night
• Provide in-person support and supervise medication routines
• Conduct hourly checks on all properties within the scheme
• Ensure all visitors have left the site by 10pm
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, including contacting the on-call manager
• Maintain clean communal areas and a tidy office
• Record all relevant information in our management database, including:
  
  • Daily logs
  • Maintenance issues
  • Incident reports
  • Client alerts
• Take phone calls and manage out-of-hours queries
• Prepare the meeting room for the following day
• Attend training and supervision sessions during the day when required.

The Person
We’re looking for someone who is:

• Clear and confident in both written and verbal communication
• Friendly, reliable and calm under pressure
• Experienced in using computers and handling records accurately
• Able to work independently but also willing to be part of a supportive team
• Comfortable working night shifts, including weekends
• Understanding of the challenges faced by people with mental health needs (experience in this area is a bonus but not essential).
