Ward Host

We are looking for a friendly, caring and reliable Ward Host to join our team at a local Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to play an important part in creating a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay.

YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DBS FOR THIS ROLE

As a Ward Host, you will work alongside nursing and catering teams to help ensure patients receive a high-quality, welcoming service on the ward.

What you’ll be doing

* Welcoming patients and helping create a friendly, comfortable environment.

* Supporting patients with their meal and refreshment needs.

* Preparing and serving meals and drinks in line with dietary requirements.

* Taking meal orders and ensuring patients receive the correct choices.

* Keeping ward kitchens, dining areas and equipment clean and tidy.

* Supporting infection prevention and food hygiene standards.

* Working closely with nurses and other hospital staff to meet patients’ needs.

* Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors and colleagues.

* Following hospital policies and procedures at all times.

* Able to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.

* Attentive to detail, particularly when dealing with dietary requirements.

* Committed to providing excellent standards of service.

* Previous healthcare or catering experience is desirable, but full training can be provided for the right person.

Hours: 7am - 1:30pm or 14:30pm - 18:30pm
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temp to perm
Starting date: ASAP
