Are you an experienced mental health nurse with strong leadership skills? We’re looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Ward Manager to lead a busy Acute Ward within a specialist mental health service in Chelmsford.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse, Charge Nurse, or existing Ward Manager ready to take the next step in their career. The service supports adults with a range of acute mental health conditions and provides both residential and outpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visible clinical leadership and manage a multidisciplinary nursing team

• Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety are consistently maintained

• Act as a mentor and role model to nursing staff

• Oversee ward operations, including staffing, environment, and resources

• Contribute to the strategic development of the service

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior nursing role

• Proven track record in clinical leadership within an acute mental health setting

• Strong communication, decision-making and people management skills
