Job Description - Ward Manager

A rewarding opportunity for a Ward Manager to take ownership of a busy surgical ward within a high-quality private healthcare setting based in Nottingham. This Ward Manager role offers the chance to lead a dedicated clinical team while ensuring exceptional patient care across a varied multi-speciality caseload. 

As a Ward Manager, you will have genuine autonomy to influence standards, support service development, and drive continuous improvement. The environment supports leadership growth, with structured development and the ability to make meaningful decisions that directly impact patient outcomes and team performance.

Package & Benefits

• £50,000 per annum.
• Private medical cover available.
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with option to buy or sell days.

About the Company

You will be joining a well-established private healthcare setting delivering high standards of surgical care across a range of specialities. The service is known for its patient-focused approach, efficient clinical pathways, and commitment to maintaining a supportive working culture for all clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care across a busy ward.
• Oversee staffing, coordination of resources, and daily operational performance.
• Maintain compliance with clinical governance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the ward environment.

About You

• NMC registered nurse with current compliance.
• Proven experience in a ward-based clinical supervisory or leadership role.
• Background working as a Ward Nurse with strong understanding of acute clinical environments.
