Ward Manager Role Overview:

• Provide clinical leadership and management, overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
• Act as a role model and mentor, offering guidance to junior staff and fellow Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ).
• Work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting strong collaboration in care planning and service delivery.
• Engage in continuous professional development, including supervision and appraisal processes.
• Support recruitment and retention, building a skilled and dedicated nursing workforce.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Extensive clinical knowledge with experience in care planning, risk assessments, and report writing.
• Strong understanding of Mental Health Act legislation and statutory care requirements.
• Proven ability to manage shifts, coordinate staffing, and oversee ward operations.
• Commitment to mentoring junior Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ) and fostering professional development.
