Location: Taunton, Somerset
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum + Benefits

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse & Procurement Coordinator to join a growing construction materials business based in Taunton.

This is a varied role combining purchasing, supplier management, stock control and warehouse coordination, with a particular focus on building materials, civils and specialist drainage products.

The successful candidate will help ensure stock levels are maintained, materials are purchased competitively and deliveries are coordinated efficiently to meet customer and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Raising and processing purchase orders.
Sourcing materials and obtaining competitive supplier quotations.
Negotiating prices and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Monitoring supplier lead times and chasing outstanding deliveries.
Managing stock levels and carrying out regular stock checks.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating stock management systems.
Coordinating incoming deliveries and organising materials within the warehouse and yard.
Liaising with warehouse staff, drivers and dispatch teams to ensure efficient material distribution.Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, stock control or warehouse coordination.
Experience within a builders' merchant, civils supplier, drainage distributor or construction materials
Knowledge of building materials and above or below-ground drainage products.
Experience raising purchase orders and managing supplier relationships.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and stock management systems.
Strong organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
