Location: Beccles, Suffolk
Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:30–17:00, Friday 08:30–16:30 (37 hours/week)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you a forward-thinking logistics professional with a passion for sustainability and operational excellence? Hales Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer seeking a Warehouse & Transport Manager to oversee operations.

About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership position where you’ll manage warehouse and transport functions to ensure maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high standards of customer service. Reporting to the Plant Managers at both sites, you’ll drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement across all logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage warehouse and transport teams
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, permits to work, and risk assessments
• Maintain safe HGV traffic flow and 6S standards on site
• Collaborate with purchasing on transport and forklift tenders
• Deliver KPIs including FIFO, MOTIF/DOTIF, and warehousing capacity
• Oversee stock receipt, cycle counting, and monthly reporting on RM & FG stock
• Investigate delivery errors and implement preventative actions
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance of team members
• Support customer services with stock and logistics queries
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of transport performance and cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse/transport management
• Personnel management experience desirable (training available)
• Forklift and HGV licences desirable
