Warehouse Charge hand (Acting Team Leader)

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve productivity and accuracy targets.
• Manage and assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles, to provide optimal output with loading team.
• Organize daily work schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor team performance.
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and risk assessments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Oversee inventory control and support stock management processes.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of team performance and operational metrics.

What you’ll bring to the role

•     Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role.

•     Strong leadership and people management skills.

•     Excellent understanding of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.

•     Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

•     Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
