Warehouse Chargehand

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Chargehand for one of our clients based in Glasgow Hillington area. This is permanent position in great company for the right candidate.

Working days/Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 7.45am to 4.15pm, Friday 7.45am to 3.15pm (39h per week)

Salary:

£35000pa

Duties:

Supervise and support a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
Ensure the safe, efficient and accurate handling of incoming goods, storage, and dispatch services
Ensure all staff adhere to established processes and procedures and that health and safety standards are maintained and continuously improved
Implement and maintain written procedures for goods receipt, returns, stock control, and consolidation.
Conduct routine safety inspections on facilities and equipment, also ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.
Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
Collaborate with other departments to maintain effective working relationships.
Assist in managing non-conforming materials and returns and make recommendations for process improvements.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and general warehouse organization.

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a general warehousing role, with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices (IOSH operating/managing safety certificates desirable).
Excellent attention to detail and good hand/eye coordination.
Experience with warehouse management systems is an advantage.
Valid Reach and Counterbalance FLT Licence. Training will be considered for the right candidate.
