We are currently recruiting for an experienced Band Saw Operative to join a busy steel processing environment. This is a key role within the production team, responsible for accurately cutting steel materials to specification and ensuring high levels of efficiency, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

Operating band saw machinery to cut steel to required specifications
Operating overhead gantry crane
Reading and working from cutting lists and production schedules
Handling and preparing steel materials safely and efficiently
Carrying out basic maintenance and checks on equipment
Ensuring accuracy of cuts and minimising material waste
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines
Undertake stock checks as required.
Requirements

Previous experience as a Band Saw Operative preferred but not essential
Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable and team-focused approach
Experience within a steel stockholding or processing environment desirable
Package Details

Rotating 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday
£14.12 per hour
25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
