To ensure the efficient receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of materials and finished goods, supporting the production plan and customer service requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, operating warehouse equipment safely, and ensuring all activities comply with food safety, quality, GMP and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse FLT Responsibilities
Ensure the timely supply of raw materials and packaging from the warehouse to manufacturing areas to support the production plan.
Complete all stock transactions accurately using RF scanning equipment.
Supply pallets and materials to production as required.
Load finished goods onto the pallet wrapping system.
Unload inbound vehicles and store materials in designated locations following goods receipt procedures.
Load outbound vehicles with finished goods in line with dispatch schedules.
Generate trailer transfer documentation and pre-advice information where required.
Maintain pallet wrapping equipment and report faults promptly.
Conduct visual inspections of warehouse racking and report defects.
Complete cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
Carry out daily warehouse, GMP and health and safety checks.
Remove warehouse and production waste in line with site procedures.
Operate warehouse equipment safely and complete pre-use inspections.
Support continuous warehouse housekeeping and cleaning standards.
Relocate stock as required to maximise storage capacity and operational efficiency.
Take responsibility for food safety, quality and product legality requirements.
Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Line Manager.
Bay Responsibilities
Load finished goods onto trailers using RF scanning equipment.
Monitor conveyor loading activity and prioritise loading requirements.
Escalate label printing issues to Production or Supply Chain teams.
Create trailer transfer documentation and submit advance shipment notifications.
Liaise with shunter drivers and transport providers to maintain loading schedules.
Monitor collection performance and communicate delays or issues.
Review stock discrepancies and investigate phantom stock locations.
Provide shift handover and collection status updates.
Maintain cleanliness and operation of waste management equipment.
Support direct customer deliveries when required.
Problem Solving
Identify and resolve routine warehouse operational issues to minimise disruption to production and dispatch activities.
Escalate stock discrepancies, equipment faults and process issues appropriately.
Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve warehouse efficiency, stock accuracy and service performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain function.
Other key Responsibilities
Demonstrate Weetabix ways of working and site values at all times.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Warehouse, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
Support the training and development of colleagues where required.
Promote a positive safety culture and challenge unsafe behaviours.
Ensures uninterrupted material flow to production operations.
Supports achievement of customer service and dispatch targets.
Maintains stock accuracy and inventory integrity.
Contributes to site food safety, quality and health and safety performance.
Influences warehouse efficiency and operational effectiveness through accurate and timely execution of tasks.
Responsible for the movement and storage of materials and finished goods across the warehouse operation.
Regular use of RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems.
Operates counterbalance, reach truck and electric hand truck equipment.
Works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Customer Service and external logistics partners.
Requirements
Essential
Good general standard of education.
Previous warehouse experience.
Counterbalance FLT licence.
Reach Truck FLT licence.
Electric Hand Truck licence.
Understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements.
Ability to use RF scanning equipment and warehouse systems.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable
Experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Experience of inventory control and cycle counting processes.
Knowledge of food manufacturing standards and GMP requirements.
