Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively representing our client, recruiting for a Warehouse Manager. We are seeking a strategic, organised and experienced professional able to lead and motivate a team, whilst driving operational efficiencies.

Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Ashford, Kent (free onsite parking)
Salary: c£35,000 / according to experience
Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm (or as required to meet business needs) Monday to Friday

Are you a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse Manager looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a proactive and experienced individual to lead a busy warehouse operation in Ashford, Kent — ensuring efficient order fulfilment and high standards of stock management.
You’ll oversee a team of 7 direct reports and take ownership of the full warehouse function, from inventory control to courier optimisation and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee inventory and storage management to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Manage all inbound and outbound operations, ensuring timely booking in and dispatch
Drive continuous improvement across processes, including pick rates and booking-in times
Implement KPIs and track performance against clear operational goals
Manage the warehouse team, including staffing, development, and performance
Take responsibility for cost control, including cost per order shipped and overtime management
Oversee returns handling and process optimisation
Champion technology adoption and implementation including reporting systems to streamline operations

Key Efficiency Targets:

Maintain high levels of picking accuracy
Improve stock turnover and overall organisation
Achieve timely order fulfilment and consistent on-time despatch
Drive courier cost savings and optimise logistics spend
Improve booking-in times and picking speed
Implement and manage measurable KPIs (e.g. orders per picker, lines picked per shift)
Monitor cost controls and support budget adherence

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management
Strong leadership and team development skills
Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and KPIs
Comfortable with warehouse technology and system implementation
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
