We are searching for a results-driven candidate with a strong background in logistics who thrives under pressure and can effectively lead a team of over 20 warehouse staff.

The Role

As the Warehouse Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and take full responsibility for the performance of three warehouse units. Your focus will be on enhancing cost efficiency, service quality, and overall operational effectiveness while managing resources, including third-party logistics providers, to meet our agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of depot operations to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, including picking, storage, distribution, and client management.
• Collaborate with the senior management team to control the budget, ensuring labour costs, overtime, and agency usage are within established limits.
• Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent while upholding company standards.
• Prioritise the health and safety of all staff and visitors while ensuring the security of the depot.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular risk assessments and accident reporting.
• Manage direct reports through clear performance objectives and regular evaluations.
• Maintain stringent security processes and safeguard all company assets.
• Monitor daily operations for compliance, quickly addressing any issues and promoting adherence to established procedures.
• Continually evaluate processes to identify areas for improvement and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide expert support for the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency and ensure staff are utilising its features effectively.

What We're Looking For

• A self-motivated individual who can work independently in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of ETSF warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with ASM or equivalent systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively at all levels.
• A numerate self-starter with a flexible approach to meet evolving business needs.
