Strategic Operations Management (70% of role)

• Lead forklift operations and container management across our secure storage facility
• Plan and organise efficient movement of client containers and storage units
• Coordinate with transport teams and manage complex logistics scheduling
• Oversee inventory management using advanced warehouse management systems

Team Leadership & Development (20% of role)

• Support the Warehouse Manager in directing operational crews
• Participate in daily crew briefings and operational debriefs
• Assist with training and development of warehouse team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation

Administrative & Compliance (10% of role)

• Maintain accurate records using computerised inventory systems
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and BAR standards
• Coordinate monthly stock checks and reporting to accounts
• Support annual auditing processes and quality assurance procedures

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant warehouse/logistics experience
• Valid Forklift Certification (D1 Reach licence essential)
• Strong mathematical and literacy skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with warehouse management systems
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
• Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds occasionally)
• Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment
• Flexibility to work alternate Saturdays as part of operational requirements
