c£50-55K dependent on experience

Working: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm

You must have experience in a raw materials manufacturing environment in a similar role

Our client is based in Wetherby; they are a family-run business, operating for over 70 years, a national food-product manufacturer providing goods that suit all dietary requirements, including, Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free, with excellent consumer reviews. They offer competitive rates of pay, they have a highly functioning, clean and tidy factory and require a competent Warehouse Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management of the people and tasks within the logistics function, ensuring H&S, GMP standards, SOPs, targets and objectives are met. As well as delivering quantifiable improvements in the logistics function in the areas of performance, team skills, training and cost control.

Skills/Competencies Required:

* A strong communicator

* Good leadership ability – able to influence and lead the team

* Strong teamwork competency, able to utilise diverse strengths of the team to best advantage

* Capable problem solver

* Adaptable – a “can do” mentality able to find solutions

* 5+ years’ experience in warehouse and logistics management ideally in a Food manufacturing environment

* Track record of team leadership

* Good understanding of H&S

* Food Safety Level 3 preferred

* Experience of stock control systems

* Ability to identify and execute improvement opportunities

* Consistent and self-disciplined

Duties:

* Management of warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring the logistics team adhere to all H&S and SOP standards (3 internal warehouses plus line services)

* Manage inbound deliveries of materials and packaging

* Manage outbound deliveries ensuring 100% compliance to customer requirements

* Manage the logistics team across all shifts (24/7 operation)

* Responsible for training and development of the team

* Flexibly manage own time to accommodate objectives (working with both day and night shifts)

* Liaise with the Shift Manager to pro-actively manage the line services function across all shifts

* Manage stock checks as required

* Identify and execute projects for process improvement and cost optimisation

* Own the management of onsite logistics equipment fleet provided by external service providers
