Warehouse Operative

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm (overtime available)

Salary: £12.98 per hour

Location: Carlisle

NXT Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established warehousing facility based at Carlisle, in the search for a Warehouse Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to secure long-term employment, with the potential to progress into a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Responsibilities:

Unload goods from delivery vehicles safely and efficiently

Inspect and check incoming items for damage or discrepancies

Log goods received and maintain accurate stock records

Organise and store items in designated warehouse locations

Retrieve items from storage to fulfil orders

Package products securely for safe transport

Accurately label packages ready for dispatch

Carry out general warehouse tasks as required

Skills:

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable

Physically fit and able to lift large or heavy items safely

High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

Computer literacy is an advantage

A positive attitude with a strong work ethic

Reliable and punctual with good team spirit

Safety boots must be worn at all times

Benefits:

£12.98 per hour pay rate

Monday to Friday working hours
