Warehouse Operative

Lloyd Recruitment Services is working with a well-established construction business in East Grinstead, who are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and supporting the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse.

The role will involve:

Coordinating the movement and distribution of materials and equipment
Receiving deliveries and ensuring items are stored correctly
Monitoring inventory and ordering or replenishing stock when required
Taking responsibility for the storage facility and ensuring it remains efficient and well-organised
Coordinating the allocation, return and upkeep of tools and machinery
Making sure equipment is in good working order and available when needed
Assisting with the preparation and clearance of construction sites
Ensuring materials, tools and equipment are delivered to the right location at the right time
Keeping accurate records and maintaining a safe, tidy working environment
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience within warehousing, stores, logistics, construction or a similar environment
A practical mindset and a willingness to get involved
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail
The confidence to manage stock, deliveries and equipment independently
A proactive approach and the ability to identify and resolve issues
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with site and office teams
What's on offer:

Salary of £30,000 DOE + benefits
Permanent, full-time position
East Grinstead location
Working hours of either 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch
