Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative required in Billingham for a 3 months contract.

Pay rate is £13.10 per hour

37.5 hours per week.

Applicants must have previous experience as a Warehouse Operative.

What will I be doing…
• Safely receive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries, checking shipments against paperwork or digital manifests
• Organise, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations with proper stock rotation
• Retrieve items based on customer or business orders, pack them securely, and label them for transit
• Organise outgoing freight and load packed goods safely onto delivery trucks or trailers
• Operate material-handling machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts (with proper certification)
• Adhere to workplace safety rules, report equipment faults or hazards, and maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment
• Support the team in maintaining accurate stock records and inventory management

• Physical fitness and ability to work in an active, fast-paced environment with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and manual lifting
• Strong attention to detail for verifying serial numbers, avoiding picking errors, and maintaining accurate records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working well with co-workers, drivers, and warehouse supervisors

Qualifications
• FLT (Forklift Truck) Counter Balance Licence – Desirable
