Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver

Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £29,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week – 1pm finish on Fridays

A well-established and respected manufacturer based in Poole is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver to join their team on a permanent basis.

The company has over 30 years of experience within its specialist sector and is recognised for providing innovative products and solutions to their industry. With continued growth and an expanding product range, they are looking for an organised and hands-on individual to support their busy warehouse operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or logistics experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a professional manufacturing environment.

The duties for the successful Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver
Receive incoming materials and goods in line with purchase orders
Check deliveries and report any damaged, faulty or incorrect stock
Identify and highlight stock shortages and discrepancies
Pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch
Pack pallet orders accurately and efficiently
Support production with packing and goods-out activities when required
Follow company procedures and maintain high standards of health and safety
Assist with other reasonable duties to support the team and wider businessThe requirements to be considered for this Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver role:
Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment & goods-in/goods-out experience
A clean driving licence & a valid counterbalance forklift licence
Experience with stock control or working to productivity targets
Van driving experience
Experience using SAP or similar stock management systems
Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment
Able to use your own initiative and take a practical approach to problem-solving
Reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team
Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required
A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work under pressureBenefits:
