We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative with Forklift Licence to join a busy manufacturing and production site in Bridgwater.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse and forklift experience who is looking for permanent night shifts, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The Role

As a Warehouseman, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the warehouse and production operation.

Your duties will include:

Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading deliveries
Moving and storing stock and materials around the warehouse and site
Preparing materials and products for dispatch
Loading vehicles safely and securely
Checking incoming and outgoing goods
Completing relevant paperwork and stock records
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse
Following all site health & safety procedures
Working closely with the warehouse and production teams
Carrying out general warehouse duties as required

Working Hours

The position is fixed nights, Monday to Friday, 22:00pm to 6:00am.

Please note that initial training will be completed on day shifts, with the exact training dates and hours to be agreed before starting. Once training has been completed, you will move onto the permanent night shift pattern.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
A valid forklift licence and practical forklift experience
Experience loading and unloading vehicles
Good awareness of warehouse health and safety
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail
A reliable and flexible approach to work
Good timekeeping and attendance
The ability to work comfortably throughout a night shift
Experience within a manufacturing, production or fast-paced warehouse environment would be advantageous.
