The Role:

To carry out the day-to-day operation of the warehouse department including, but not limited to, receiving, storing, and distributing material, equipment, and products. May perform any or all of these duties as directed.

Responsibilities:

Materials Handling & Storage

Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage locations or other designated areas.
Report any unusual discrepancies in received materials to the Supervisor.
Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to:

Size
Type
Style
Colour
Product code

Maintain clear aisle space and high housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
Warehouse Operations

Assemble customer orders from stock.
Prepare and stack orders onto pallets.
Package pallets in line with customer-specific requirements.
Record quantities of materials and products received or dispatched.
Complete all relevant warehouse documentation, including:

Picking lists
Pallet sheets

Goods In

Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes.
Make any necessary corrections and report discrepancies.
Sign delivery documentation and forward it to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
Create and apply correct labels to raw materials and incoming goods before storage.
Goods Out

Ensure all outgoing pallets are clearly marked with identifying information.
Create, print, and apply shipping and address labels.
Ensure products are packaged appropriately for transport and customer requirements.
SAP Responsibilities

Create product and shipping labels.
Check stock accuracy.
Consolidate stock as required.
Transport & Equipment

Transport materials between warehouse and production areas while adhering to all Health & Safety requirements.
Conduct daily forklift/truck maintenance checks and pre-use inspections.
Inspect material handling equipment and report any defects requiring repair.
Planning & Coordination

Liaise with the Supervisor and Shipping Clerk regarding:

Shipping schedules
Collection schedules
Daily workload planning

Health, Safety & Environmental (EHS)

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in accordance with best practices.
Comply with all company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and legal requirements.
Actively report actual or potential EHS concerns.
Participate in EHS initiatives, including:

Safety committees
Site inspections
Audits
Incident investigations

Support continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.
Participate in investigations of incidents, near misses, and lost-time accidents.
Quality & Compliance

Adhere to the INX Employee Handbook and Standards of Conduct.
Follow all procedures within the INX Quality Management System.
Support compliance with ISO standards relating to:

Quality
Environmental Management

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action processes.
General Expectations

The Candidate:

Essential / Desirable Qualifications

Desirable:

Valid licences/certifications for:

VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Forklift Truck
Articulated Forklift (Pivot Steer) Truck
Counterbalance Forklift Truck
Powered Pallet Truck (PPT)

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely lift and move loads up to 25kg.
Ability to use hand trucks and material handling equipment to move drums, containers, and other warehouse materials.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse environment.
Working Environment

Frequent work around moving mechanical equipment and machinery.
Exposure to:

Outdoor weather conditions
Fumes and airborne particles
Manufacturing and warehouse environments

Ability to work at heights of up to 8 metres when required.
Willingness to work shifts, including occasional night shifts to meet operational requirements.
Safety Expectations

Strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) standards.
Ability to work safely in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Compliance with company policies, safe systems of work, and regulatory requirements at all times.
