Warehouse Operative/Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Slough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Salary: £27,184.83 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics and distribution company for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy warehouse team with full VNA Crane training provided.

Key Responsibilities

Operating warehouse material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently, following all company procedures. Including Forklift and VNA Crane.

Safely unload inbound deliveries and move stock to designated storage and holding areas.

Ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are correct and not damaged or broken, reporting any quality issues to shift supervisor.

Pick, prepare and loading customers’ orders, ensuring that all products are correct and the right quantities are dispatched.

Carry out order picking efficiently to meet customer service and productivity targets.

Move stock from storage and holding areas onto vehicles.

Use RF scanning equipment for picking, receiving and loading activities.

Assist with stock takes and physical inventory counts.

Complete daily equipment checks and inspections in line with company procedures.

Report any equipment faults or performance issues promptly to shift supervisors.

What We're Looking For

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).

Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong understanding of health and safety practices.

A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude.
