About the Role

Cast UK is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Warehouse Manager on behalf of a market-leading distribution company based in Motherwell. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to join a thriving business operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The working pattern is Tuesday to Friday, rotating across 6am-2:45pm/9:30am to 6pm.

In this key role, you'll support the Warehouse Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring smooth operations across receiving, storage, and dispatch. You'll take an active role in stock management, transport coordination, team supervision, and process improvements - all while maintaining a strong safety culture and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support warehouse operations including goods-in, stock control, dispatch and fleet management
• Drive performance through effective team leadership, training, and task planning
• Ensure warehouse costs and KPIs are on track through regular reporting and operational oversight
• Champion Health & Safety best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain strong stock accuracy and support ERP/WMS systems as needed
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to exceed customer service expectations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar warehouse leadership role
• Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices
• Hands-on leadership with proven ability to motivate and develop teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Desirable: ERP/WMS experience, logistics/planning knowledge, forklift licence (Counterbalance & Reach)
