Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our client and oversee a small team. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including handling materials, maintaining health and safety standards, managing both inbound and outbound shipments, and performing general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and ideally be familiar with freight services.

Days/Hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm and 1 Sunday in 4, 7am - 1/2pm (paid at double time)

Day-to-day of the role:

• Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments efficiently.
• Perform warehouse administration tasks such as receipt and booking in of shipments using WMS.
• Conduct warehouse checks and audits to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Load and unload vehicles and containers.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards in the warehouse.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in planning and prioritising workloads.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and methodical practices.
• Good working knowledge and practice of health and safety standards.
• Forklift operation.
• Current clean driving licence - Not essential
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time management skills.
• Record keeping.
