Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Summary:

At Bis Henderson, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at a growing FMCG logistics business at their Skelmersdale site.

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the processes and a small team of individuals within the inbound operation. The successful candidate will drive best practice and continuous improvement within their area of responsibility and will take a hands-on approach to guide and support their direct reports to achieve their full potential. This is a progressive business who are making positive changes and improvements within the operation, so someone who is able to drive change and has experience in change management is particularly desirable.

This role is working Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the receipt of goods within the inbound operation and ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly.
* Drive the team to ensure relevant individual and team KPI's are met.
* People management; motivating the team, organising workloads, briefing the team before shifts, conducting 1-2-1s and acting on any HR related requirements.
* Proactively drive continuous improvement and lead change in line with business objectives.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety regulations at all times.

Key Skills/Experience:

* At least 3 years' experience of managing a team of 10+ colleagues within a FMCG logistics environment.
* Previous experience implementing new processes and leading change is desirable.
* Experience with a particular focus on managing inbound processes is desirable.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to manage, guide and support the team to achieve goals.
* Able to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.
