Our client is a growing Basingstoke-based manufacturing and assembly business and is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of their warehouse and lead a small team.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee the smooth running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is accurately managed and goods are received, stored and dispatched efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising, training and allocating daily tasks to the warehouse team. Managing stock through routine and annual stock counts, labelling and system updates. Overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage and dispatch of goods. Ensuring stock is correctly labelled and stored in allocated locations. Maintaining a tidy, organised and efficient warehouse environment. Working closely with Production to ensure materials are picked and available on time. Overseeing the packing of goods for despatch and arranging outbound transport. Supporting with the loading of outbound deliveries. Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and procedures. Implementing improvements and industry best practice where appropriate. Ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are understood and followed by the team. Providing leadership and support to the warehouse team and leading by example. Assisting with other duties as required.About You
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor with:
Experience leading, motivating and developing a warehouse team. Strong people and performance management skills. The ability to set clear objectives and maintain high standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good computer and numerical skills. Experience using an MRP or stock-tracking system. A full, valid UK driving licence. Previous experience using either reach or counterbalance forklifts (Desirable but not essential)This is an opportunity to join a growing business in Basingstoke and take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation within a small team.
