About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Warehouse/Stores Operative to join our team. This is a varied role with plenty of autonomy, supporting both our project management and engineering teams to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse, production and service operations.
No two days are the same. You'll be involved in stock control, logistics, customer support, equipment preparation, environmental initiatives, and providing operational support to engineers both on-site and in-house.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, book in and prepare equipment arriving into the warehouse Support engineers with equipment refurbishment and installation projects Arrange deliveries, collections and logistics with suppliers and couriers Order parts, equipment and services to support business operations Process manufacturer warranty claims and monitor progress Assist with customer service activities, including logging service calls and allocating engineers when required Manage stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records Produce reports on stock movements, assets and environmental activities Support recycling initiatives, including equipment dismantling and component recovery Ensure warehouse areas remain safe, organised and compliant with health and safety standards Assist with year-end stock and environmental audits Deliver urgent consumables and equipment to customers when required Contribute ideas to improve processes and operational efficiency
What We're Looking For
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and customer service skills Experience using stock management or ordering systems would be beneficial Comfortable working in a warehouse and operational environment Practical and mechanically minded Able to work independently and manage priorities Full UK driving licence Physically fit and capable of manual handling activities Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Desirable Skills
Forklift Truck Licence (training can be provided) Experience within warehouse, logistics, service, engineering or production environments Understanding of health and safety best practices
Training & Development
Full training will be provided on all internal systems, including Vantage, call management and data processing systems. You will also have the opportunity to attend manufacturer training courses and gain industry certifications.
