Warranty Test Technician

Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for 1 x Warranty Test Technician for our client based in Smethwick.
Details:
Straight on permanent position
Day shift - Monday to Friday 8AM-4:30PM
27-30k per annum, depending on experience
25 days of holidays plus BH
Working for a secure, well established organization

Duties:
Carry on hands-on inspection and diagnostics of units
Ensure that analysis data is reported to Head of Engineering with agreed time scale
Conduct detailed analysis of warranty returns
Provide technical support to all internal departaments to improve product quality
Ensure all products flow through the warranty departament in a timely manner
Maintain the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated
Undertake special projects if required
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Qualifications:
Preferred understanding of fuel systems and application on engine, hydraulics and electromechanical systems and using machinery
Ability to use hand tools and measurement equipment
Ability to work in diverse and dynamic environment
Knowledge of using Microsoft Excel and Word application
Problem solving and analytical skills
QCSE Level A-C, IVQ Technician certificate, Btec first certificate or equivalent NVQ Level 2 qualifications
Displays a good attitude towards work, and the aims and objectives of company
