Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

The Opportunity

We're recruiting for a Water Hygiene Engineer to join an established and growing facilities management business, supporting the delivery of water hygiene and compliance services across a portfolio of client sites.

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and water hygiene checks, helping ensure client water systems remain safe, compliant and free from the risks associated with Legionella.

Previous water hygiene experience would be beneficial, but it's not essential. Candidates with a background in plumbing, facilities maintenance or general building services who are keen to develop a career in water hygiene are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections across allocated client sites.

* Complete water temperature checks and monitoring.

* Inspect and maintain water storage tanks.

* Clean and disinfect showerheads and associated water outlets.

* Undertake water sampling and assist with water hygiene compliance.

* Identify potential risks, defects and deviations, recommending corrective action where required.

* Ensure water systems are maintained in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG 274 and relevant industry guidance.

* Maintain accurate site records, service reports and compliance documentation.

* Liaise professionally with clients and the internal operations team.

* Ensure all scheduled maintenance and contractual requirements are completed.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in water hygiene, plumbing, facilities maintenance or building services would be advantageous.

* A willingness to learn and develop within the water hygiene industry.

* Good communication and customer service skills.

* Strong organisation and time management.

* Basic IT skills and the ability to complete service records.

* A professional attitude with a strong work ethic.

* Full UK driving licence (essential).
