Are you an experienced Water Hygiene professional with a strong background in team management, looking for an opportunity to take the lead of a department?

We are working with an established organisation looking to appoint an experienced Water Hygiene Services / Legionella Manager to take responsibility for its Water Hygiene department.

This is a senior position requiring someone with extensive experience across Water Hygiene, Legionella and Water Compliance, alongside proven experience leading and developing a team.

You'll take ownership of the department's day-to-day performance, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently and compliantly, while supporting the continued development and growth of the service.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading and managing the Water Hygiene / Legionella department.

* Managing, supporting and developing a team of Water Hygiene professionals.

* Overseeing the operational delivery of Water Hygiene and Legionella services.

* Managing workloads, resources and team performance.

* Ensuring works are delivered in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 and relevant industry guidance.

* Maintaining high standards of technical delivery, reporting and compliance.

* Providing technical guidance and support across the department.

* Overseeing client contracts and ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.

* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

* Supporting contract mobilisation and resolving operational or technical issues.

* Managing performance, training and development within the team.

* Supporting recruitment and future team growth.

* Working closely with senior management on the continued development of the Water Hygiene service.

About You

We're looking for somebody who already has substantial experience within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry and, importantly, has previous experience managing people.

You'll ideally have:

* Extensive Water Hygiene / Legionella industry experience.

* Proven experience leading and managing a team.

* Strong technical knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274.

* Experience overseeing Water Hygiene monitoring and compliance contracts.

* A good understanding of Legionella Risk Assessment and remedial services.

* Strong operational and organisational skills.

* Experience managing client relationships and service delivery.

* The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

* Full UK driving licence.

Candidates currently working as a Water Hygiene Manager, Legionella Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, Service Manager, Technical Manager or Regional Manager would be particularly relevant.
