HAYS are working in partnership with a highly respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions across the UK and Ireland. Their specialist water team is continuing to grow due to a strong pipeline of wastewater, clean water and infrastructure projects, creating an excellent opportunity for experienced Water Modellers looking to work on technically challenging and career-enhancing schemes for their Belfast office.
Your new role As a Water Modeller, you are required to:
Develop and maintain hydraulic models for water and wastewater networks. Carry out network analysis, capacity assessments and operational performance reviews. Support the design and optimisation of water distribution and sewerage systems. Analyse model outputs and provide technical recommendations. Prepare technical reports, drawings and project documentation. Liaise with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary design teams. Assist with flood studies, drainage assessments and infrastructure planning projects. Participate in site visits, surveys and data collection activities. Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements. Support junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. What you'll need to succeed:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline. Experience in water or wastewater modelling within a consultancy, utility or contractor environment. Proficiency in industry software such as:
Strong understanding of hydraulic modelling principles. Experience working on clean water, wastewater, drainage or flood risk projects. Ability to interpret technical data and provide innovative engineering solutions. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Strong organisational and project management abilities. Experience working with UK Water Companies would be advantageous. What you'll get in return
