Water Quality Scientist
who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service. This role will help to ensure that the water quality delivered to customers complies with relevant legislation, DWI guidance and industry best-practice through a wide range of tasks such as monitoring data, investigating atypical results, and contribute to regulatory submissions. As the Water Quality Scientist your key responsibilities are Support the delivery of regulatory reporting to strict deadlines which includes drinking water safely plans, compliance data, and event reporting Use performance and analytical data to inform and update companies risk assessments Advise the business on water quality matters, including emergency incidents and investigatory work, when required Take action to maintain public health by identifying risks and ensuring that the appropriate remedial measures are taken including liaison with external stakeholders To join the water quality standby rota and provide water quality advice and support to the out of hours team About you Degree level in appropriate technical discipline Full driving licence Experience within a relevant scientific field, with a strong understanding of water quality regulations, water quality science, water quality customer service and public health issues Multi-tasker who can meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a customer focussed work environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large amounts of diverse data What can you expect from us At least the cost of living pay increase every year Company pension contributions up to 10% if employees contribute 5% 33 days holiday including bank holidays with the ability to purchase an additional 10 Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay £750 net of tax to refer friends and family Hybrid working for eligible roles Development opportunities to reach your career aspirations BUUK has an award-winning culture.
