WATER TECHNICIAN Overview Our client is one of the UK's longest-established specialist air hygiene and water treatment solution providers. Operating on a national basis, the business collaborates with a range of clients within high-security establishments, healthcare, local government, education, and more. With its Head Office based in Bristol, the company has specialist teams of technicians across the UK. The business prioritizes career development to retain its workforce. Role Description Technicians are required to carry out water hygiene work, with some air hygiene tasks as well. This includes monthly water monitoring, tank cleaning, TMV servicing, disinfections, showerhead descales, and water sampling. The air side of the business involves testing fire dampers and routine maintenance of air handling units. Technicians will work on-site at various locations across southern UK and, due to the nature of the work, successful candidates will require security vetting. Key Tasks: Tank cleaning and disinfections
Down service disinfections (mains or tank fed) Shower head cleaning and disinfections Monthly water monitoring in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274, including outlet temperatures, inspections of cold water tanks and hot water storage vessels, and updating logbooks Water sampling TMV checks and disinfections Water softener servicing and disinfections Ensuring Health & Safety compliance on site Occasional Air Ventilation Duties: Fire damper testing
Cleaning ductwork and ventilation systems Maintaining accurate paperwork, including timesheets, expenses, survey forms, and job sheets Skills & Experience Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Water hygiene industry and air hygiene industry
Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Knowledge of legislations and latest guidance Excellent organizational and time-keeping skills, with the ability to meet deadlines Clear and confident communication skills Willingness to work occasional nights and/or weekends and be flexible with travel Ability to pass an enhanced CRB or DBS check Full driving licence Key Benefits Attractive basic salary: £25,357.50 - £27,562.50 depending on experience
