Salary: Starting from £28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Water Treatment Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of water hygiene in line with industry regulations. Your main duties will be on the emphasis of dynamic flushing of heating and chilled water systems in accordance with BSRIA guidelines and disinfection of domestic hot and cold water systems at various new and existing commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on site sampling and analysis of closed loop systems e.g. pH, conductivity, inhibitor levels, microbiological activity
• Domestic disinfections of Hot &Cold Water systems
• Select and apply the correct chemical treatments e.g. inhibitors, biocides, dispersants to prevent corrosion, scaling and microbiol growth
• Inspect and service system components, including filters, strainers, expansion vessels and dosing pots.
• Perform temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold Water Systems
• Collect Water samples

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience working within Water Treatment (minimum 3 years).
• Legionella Awareness & Control Training
• City & Guilds in Legionella monitoring, disinfection, TMV servicing or Water Treatment
• COSHH Training
• Confined spaces & Working at Heights
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Based in and around Newcastle-upon-Tyne
