Web Designer (Contract)

Stagecoach
Group are seeking a talented web designer to work on existing and new solutions.
 

The successful
applicant will take responsibility for building and maintaining usable,
accessible and visual appealing interfaces for our branded web applications.
Our applications are rolled across pc based browsers, mobile browsers and cover
multiple locales.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Working
  closely with the technical architect, users and developers to design and
  implement visually appealing and highly usable web interfaces for new web
  applications.


• Managing web standards and working
  closely with IT, e.g. on technical specifications, architecture and coding
  standards etc to achieve best practice 


• Building
  and maintaining switchable themes for a variety of client environments (e.g.
  mobile, pc, touch screen kiosk) and locales.


• Designing
  branded digital materials and developing CMS content to support the
  company brands.

Skills

·       
Design
degree or equivalent.

·       
Solid understanding of information architecture, usability and design
principles 

• Commercial
  experience designing multi themed, localised, large web applications.


• Solid
  Photoshop/Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, PHP, JAVA and AJAX skills.


• Flash/Silverlight/HTML5
  skills highly desirable.


• Strong
  creative online graphic design and conceptualisation skills


• A good
  understanding of current web technologies and trends
