Web Developer

We are looking for a highly motivated Web Developer to join a well established company who have been trading for 40 years!

They are seeking a Web Developer with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL and Git experience

You will need a solid background in server-side development using PHP, experience with web-based frameworks, and a passion for building efficient, scalable, and user-friendly web applications.

In this role, you will work closely with the Systems Manager to build, enhance, and maintain web applications and systems that power the business operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve backend development, API integration, and collaboration with frontend developers to deliver robust web solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and other developers, to deliver outstanding user experiences and intuitive interfaces.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and efficiency while ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure the codebase is maintainable, scalable, and secure.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, bugs, and deficiencies in the applications.
- Stay updated with emerging web development trends, tools, and best practices and apply them to projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) as a Software Developer specializing in PHP and web development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of database systems (e.g., MySQL).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration.

You will based full time in the office in Billingham so you will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance.

Salary is up to £32,000 with progression and training provided.
