We’re working with a genuine industry leader in Leeds as they look to kick-start their tech function going forward.

You will be the first boots on the ground as they embark on a three-year plan to build out a development function.

First on the agenda is the complete revamp of their current web portfolio.

You will be responsible for the design and construction of their eCommerce presence – not tied to any particular tooling, Magento or Shopify, it’s completely up to you.

Their B2B requirements are going to be focussed around headless Wordpress. They produce huge volumes of content on a day-to-day basis so allowing that degree of separation between yourself and the content team is going to be crucial.

React, Gatsby or Vue? Again, you will be starting this from scratch with the full buy-in of the company – whatever you feel is the best tooling for the job is how you can build it.

The team are office based in their Central Leeds hub – given you will be given complete autonomy, having the soft skills to work hand in hand with their SLT is a given.

Opportunities to single-handedly build your own development function don’t come around very often. We’re equally upfront that this opportunity won’t be for everyone. If you’re used to working in a small subsection of a big team then this might be a step too far.
