Weekend Shift Engineer (Saturday & Sunday)
Salary: £42,200 per annum (pro rata)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Weekend Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic team and take responsibility for maintaining and repairing machinery at a food manufacturing facility based in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client's production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of top-quality products to their customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery including peelers, Multivac, boxing machines, metal detectors, and weigh checkers.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
Work independently and make quick and effective decisions to address any equipment failures or malfunctions.
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.
Provide support during weekend shifts (6-2 or 2-10) and be available to cover holidays during the week as required.
Collaborate with shift supervisors to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
HACCP training and understanding of food safety regulations are advantageous.
Ability to work independently and under pressure, making decisions quickly and effectively.
Flexibility to work weekend shifts and cover holidays during the week.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
