Weighbridge Operator

An industry-leading provider of construction materials and waste management services is seeking a Weighbridge Operator to join its busy Waste Division at a key site in Battersea. This role is essential in managing vehicle movements, coordinating material imports and exports, and ensuring all site operations run smoothly and safely.

Role Type: Full-Time - Permanent

Hours: Mon-Fri 46.25 hours per week

Job Title: Weighbridge Operator

Salary: £28k - £35k

Location: Clapham

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge to process incoming non-hazardous soils and stones
• Oversee outgoing material deliveries for both internal and external customers
• Support logistics for subcontractor and company vehicles
• Accurately input waste ticket data and manage documentation for subcontracted hauliers
• Produce daily and weekly site reports for waste imports and exports
• Manage all vehicle and visitor entry, including driver inductions
• Maintain high standards of site health and safety
• Represent and promote the company's values in day-to-day operations

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working in a weighbridge role is essential
• Knowledge of handling non-hazardous soils and stone materials
• Strong verbal communication skills, particularly over the phone
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Experience within the waste or construction industry is highly desirable
