Coded Welder – Modular / Anti-Vandal Manufacturing

Salary: £21.00 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days

Orchard Professional Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Coded Welder to join a well-established modular manufacturing company based in HU12.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder looking for a permanent, Monday-to-Friday day-shift position working on the manufacture of modular and anti-vandal units.

The Role

You will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel components used in the manufacture of modular and anti-vandal buildings, working to engineering drawings and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* MIG/MAG welding of steel components and structures

* Welding modular and anti-vandal building components

* Working from engineering drawings and welding specifications

* Fabrication, preparation and assembly of steelwork

* Producing clean, accurate and consistent welds

* Working to coded welding procedures and quality standards

* Measuring, checking and inspecting finished components

* Using hand and power tools safely

* Grinding, finishing and preparing welds where required

* Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship

* Working to production targets and deadlines

* Following all company Health & Safety procedures

* Keeping the workshop and work area clean and organised

The Ideal Candidate

* Coded welding qualification essential

* Strong MIG/MAG welding experience

* Previous experience in fabrication/manufacturing

* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

* Experience welding structural steel/components

* Good understanding of weld quality and tolerances

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious

* Previous modular, construction or anti-vandal manufacturing experience would be advantageous
