Welder Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our client. This role involves joining metal using various techniques, primarily TIG and MMA, to form new structures and ensure high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metalworking, specifically with stainless steel, and be proficient in using workshop machinery.

• Operate welding equipment to join metal components and perform metal fabrication tasks.
• Cut, shape, and fabricate metal parts ensuring that finished products meet high-quality standards.
• Utilize handheld tools such as screw guns, drill guns, and grinders to prepare materials for welding.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to accurately create products.
• Use workshop machinery like guillotines, folding machines, rollers, bandsaws, and hydraulic presses.
• Perform quality checks on fabricated items to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly maintained.

• Knowledge of various welding techniques such as TIG and MMA.
• Experience with fabricating and welding different types of metals, including stainless steel.
• Awareness of ISO 9000 Standard and adherence to Health and Safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and follow detailed instructions.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to understand technical drawings.
• Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience as a Fabricator/Welder, or a time-served candidate.
• A recognised Apprenticeship would be preferred.
• Proficiency in Maths and English is required.
