Job Role: Welder Fabricator
Location: Leicester
Shift: 07:00am to 4:30pm / early finish on a Friday
Pay Rate: £15-£17 per hour depending on experience

Overview:

We are currently looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join a busy and growing engineering and manufacturing team based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong background in MIG welding and a good understanding of fabrication techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on a variety of mild steel components
• Work from engineering drawings to fabricate parts to specification
• Operate hand tools and fabrication machinery as required
• Carry out basic assembly and ensure all work meets quality standards
• Maintain safe and clean working practices at all times
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production targets

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in MIG welding (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Basic fabrication skills (cutting, forming, tacking, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Positive attitude, good communication skills, and team spirit
• Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic

Desirable Experience (Not Essential):

• Operating press brake machinery
• Operating laser cutting machines
• General fabrication including cutting, drilling, and grinding
• TIG welding experience (bonus)
