Welder / Fabricator

Permanent position
Location: Harwich, Essex (CO12)
Starting Rate: £16.00 per hour (£33,280 PA) - DOE
Overtime: paid at time and one-third, good hours available
Monday to Friday, 0715 to 1600 hours - 40 hours per week
Core requirement: MIG & TIG Welding + Fabrication
Any structural steel experience beneficial

Join a busy, local, established engineering workshop producing high-quality fabricated steelwork and welded assemblies. You'll be working on a range of fabrication jobs, from prep through to final finish, following engineering drawings and specs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform TIG and MIG welding to manufacture components.
Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish)
Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Extensive hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding.
Proven expertise in sheet metal fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Awareness of health and safety regulations.
Any welding certifications (coding) would be an advantage but not essential.
