Our oil service client is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their team on a permanent basis. Operating as part of the backshift the hours for this role at 2pm until midnight Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Workshop Lead the successful candidate will: Carry out repairs to offshore CCU's and tanks Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU Document trip inspection (includes electronically) Carry out visual inspection on all CCU's (including inspection of lifting gear) Non fleet and third-party repairs or fabrication Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene
Candidates must have Working knowledge and prior experience of M.I.G and Flux Core welding processes and techniques in multiple positions Good literacy and numeracy skills. Ability to work to a high standard or workmanship. Ability to learn new skills. Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner. Ability to work unsupervised in diligent and safe manner.
Qualifications and Experience Prior welding experience Tig Welding (stainless steel & aluminium) (not essential) Numeracy & literacy Mechanical aptitude. Forklift driving (not essential) Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1
