Job Description - Welding Inspector

Are you an experienced Welding Inspector ready to take the lead on large-scale, complex project?

We’re looking for a driven and skilled Welding Inspector to take ownership of quality assurance activities on a high-value infrastructure project based on-site at the Hinkley site.

Welding Inspector

Hourly rate of £37.98 per hour

10–12-hour shift

Week 1: 10 days on, 4 days off

Week 2: 9 days on 5 days off

Site Based at Hinkley Point

Welding Inspector

Job Description

Visual examination of welds to specifications, codes and standards required by client
Communicate with key internal and external stakeholders such as Client Inspectors, Delivery/Construction Teams, Contract Partners.
Conduct PT inspections as required
Carry out weld audits to ensure ongoing compliance and quality

Welding Inspector

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Experience of large scale, complex stainless steel fabrication projects advantageous but not essential.
Competent in the use of standard inspection and measuring equipment e.g. verniers, welding inspection gauges.

CSWIP 3.1 (Minimum/Essential)
PCN Level 2 DPI (Essential)
PCN Level 2 RT or RI – Welds (Desirable)
PCN Level 2 MPI (Desirable)

Daily Expenses: £38 per day, available year-round
Travel Support: Paid travel time (up to 5 hours, depending on location)
