MIG Welding Operative

Salary: £15.74 per hour inclusive of 22% shift allowance, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for experienced MIG Welding Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment on a rotating shift pattern.

We are looking for candidates with previous MIG production welding experience, who are confident welding a range of materials in different sizes, shapes and thicknesses.

The Role

As a MIG Welding Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out production welding to the required quality and safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Carrying out MIG production welding to specification

* Welding a variety of materials, sizes and shapes

* Working with materials including Mild Steel, DF and Pre-Galv

* Reading and following production drawings and specifications where required

* Ensuring welds meet the required quality standards

* Checking finished products for quality and accuracy

* Working to production targets and deadlines

* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Following all health & safety and production procedures

* Working effectively as part of a team

Essential Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous MIG production welding experience

* Experience welding different materials, sizes and shapes

* Experience working with Mild Steel, DF and Pre-Galv

* Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality

* The ability to work to production targets

* A reliable and hardworking approach

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Hours & Shift Pattern

39 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern:

Week 1:
Monday–Thursday: 6am–2pm
Friday: 6am–1pm

Week 2:
Monday–Thursday: 2pm–10pm
Friday: 1pm–8pm

Pay

£15.74 per hour inclusive of 22% rotating shift allowance, with the opportunity for a higher rate depending on experience.
