Job Description - Wellbeing Advisor

At Retirement Villages Group (RVG), we believe everyone deserves to live a vibrant, healthy, and independent life as they age. Our communities support individuality, promote wellbeing, and foster connections. We are now looking for a compassionate and proactive Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Castle Village in Berkhamsted.

As a Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our residents’ health and independence. You will respond to emergency calls, provide first aid, carry out wellbeing assessments, promote preventative health activities, and help older adults live well every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency calls from residents.
  • Deliver emergency first aid and liaise with emergency services as needed.
  • Carry out wellbeing baseline and annual assessments for residents.
  • Promote health education, self-help, and physical activity programmes.
  • Collaborate with catering, activities, care teams, and external healthcare providers.
  • Record and maintain accurate wellbeing records.
  • Participate in wellbeing meetings and training to maintain up-to-date knowledge.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supporting older adults in a healthcare or community setting.
  • Familiarity with primary care referral processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and risk assessment skills.
  • Strong IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Professional development in community health or primary care.
  • Confident administering CPR, dealing with choking incidents, using defibrillators, and other emergency tools.
