The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
Working with pupils individually, in small groups, or as part of the whole class
Supporting pupils with reading, writing, numeracy, and other areas of learning
Helping children develop their confidence, independence, and communication skills
Supporting pupils who may require additional learning or behavioural support
Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a supportive classroom environment
Assisting teachers with classroom activities, resources, displays, and preparation
Supporting pupils during break times, lunch, school trips, and wider school activities where required
Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff
Helping to promote pupils' wellbeing, inclusion, and safety
Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of different pupils
What We're Looking For

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable and adaptable attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Confidence working with children in a school environment
Willingness to learn and develop your skills
Previous classroom, childcare, youth work, or education experience is welcomed but not essential
